How to convert EPUB to KEPUB?

You can convert EPUB to KEPUB with MConverter in three easy steps:

  3. Get your KEPUB files after MConverter has finished processing them
    Click on DOWNLOAD ALL to save your KEPUBs to your default downloads folder, or select SAVE TO to choose another location.

    You can also configure automatic file downloads during the conversion process or in the settings menu. When enabled, each KEPUB file is downloaded as soon as its conversion is complete, without waiting for the others to finish.

    If supported by your device, you'll see a Share icon, allowing you to directly send converted files to other apps.

Format description

KEPUB is Kobo’s enhanced version of the EPUB format for e-books. Its main use is for Kobo eReaders and Kobo reading apps.

Kobo’s reading software treats KEPUB files differently from regular EPUB files, enabling Kobo-specific features such as improved reading statistics, faster page turns, better footnote handling, and its own rendering behavior.

To be correctly recognized as a KEPUB by Kobo eReaders, the file needs to end with .kepub.epub instead of .kepub. It’s also important to note that the e-book needs to be specifically converted with a tool like MConverter, as simply renaming a regular .epub file to .kepub.epub is not enough.

Note: DRM-protected Kobo books may fail to convert at the moment.

I love that I can just convert my files from File Explorer, no need opening the app first, just right click and "open with" or the "Share" button and choose "MConverter" immediately or drag the file to MConverter home screen if I'm in a rush. AMAZING APP! I am so glad I found it!! It actually converts WEBM files without the weird bleeds! It's the only app I use to convert cute emotes from any site! I have been looking for years to find an image/gif converter but all the ones I found didn't convert emotes correctly. MCONVERTER DOES!! Hands down, best app!

I tried several programs to convert [Adobe Illustrator] files to PNG, but only this program managed to convert both the text and the image exactly as in the original. The other programs transformed the text using their own fonts, which were not the ones originally used.
