Description
The MPO (Multi Picture Object) file format is used to store multiple images in one file. It is often associated with 3D images and is used primarily for stereoscopic photography, where two slightly offset images are combined to create a 3D effect when viewed with compatible devices like 3D-capable TVs, monitors, consoles, or glasses.
Typically, each MPO file contains two separate JPG images – one for the left eye and another for the right eye. These images are stored side by side within the MPO file, along with metadata that describes their arrangement. When the MPO file is viewed on a compatible device, the left and right images are separated and displayed to each eye, creating the illusion of depth and three-dimensionality.
MConverter currently supports extracting only one of the two images. However, since the distance between the left and right eye is tiny, this limitation does not have a significant impact when viewing the image on a conventional 2D device. To view MPO files on Windows or Android, you can convert them to JPG or PNG, for example. These files can then be opened with the operating system’s built-in image viewer.

Description
BMP files, also known as bitmap image files, are uncompressed raster images. They contain a file header with a bitmap identifier, width, height and color settings among other information, as well as bitmap pixels with different colors. Because of the lack of any compression, BMP files often have a relatively large file size. Therefore, it may be beneficial to convert such images to newer, better-optimized formats like WebP and AVIF.
