How to convert TAR to RAR?
You can convert TAR to RAR with MConverter in three easy steps:
Choose TAR files from your device or cloud storage
At the top of this page, drag and drop your TARs.
Alternatively, click on the Browse box to select files with your device's file picker, or copy and paste a TAR file by pressing Ctrl+V (or ⌘+V on Mac).
MConverter can easily import TARs from Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox.
Converting a folder with TAR files to RAR is also supported: simply paste, drag and drop it, or use the ADD FOLDER button.
Click or tap on RAR from the list of target formats
You could also use the search box at the top right to quickly find the format you need, whether it's RAR or something else.
Get your RAR files after MConverter has finished processing them
Click on DOWNLOAD ALL to save your RARs to your default downloads folder, or select SAVE TO to choose another location.
You can also configure automatic file downloads during the conversion process or in the settings menu. When enabled, each RAR file is downloaded as soon as its conversion is complete, without waiting for the others to finish.
If supported by your device, you'll see a Share icon, allowing you to directly send converted files to other apps.

Format description
Originally used by Unix/Linux, TAR files are archives containing multiple files inside. Also known as tarballs, TARs are similar to ZIP, but they do not have any compression applied. This makes them quicker to create and extract.
However, it is possible to compress TAR files using bzip2, gzip, or xz compression. To do this, convert the TAR file to TBZ2, TGZ, or TXZ respectively.
