DNG, or a digital negative image, is a file containing a RAW photo captured with a digital camera or a smartphone. Such files contain all data from the camera sensors, hence why they are larger in size.If you do not plan to professionally edit the photo, you can convert it to another image format like JPG, PNG or WebP, so that it takes up less space.

How long does it take to convert DNG?
