MOBI is a Mobipocket e-book file. Even though it was originally made for the Mobipocker Reader for PDAs (now defunct), it is supported by other e-book readers. MOBI is specifically designed for low-bandwidth mobile devices. In addition to storing the contents of digital books, MOBI files may include bookmarks and DRM protection.
