Format description
SAMI is short for Synchronized Accessible Media Interchange. Developed in the late 90s by Microsoft, SMI or SAMI files were an accessibility initiative by the company. Such files contain subtitles with formatting, extended from HTML. In other words, subtitle text in the SAMI format can be bolded, italicized, underlined, colored, and more. How long does it take to convert a file to SMI?
